Zela is a personalised sales intelligence business development tool built around Claude AI. It researches your contacts, writes personalised emails in your voice, and helps you stay on top of follow-ups, all from one screen. Take 3 minutes to set it up properly before you start.
Zela runs on Claude. Get your key from console.anthropic.com and paste it into Settings. Without this, nothing works.
Go to Settings and fill in your name, role, company and email signature. This is what Claude uses to write as you, so be specific.
Still in Settings, paste in 2 to 5 real emails you have actually sent. Not polished ones, real ones. Claude will match your sentence length, vocabulary, punctuation habits and tone. Skip this and the emails will sound generic.
Click Import and upload a CSV. At minimum you need name, company and email. Zela will auto-assign tiers, clean up names, and enrich contacts using Claude.
Click any contact, hit Generate Email, pick a tone. Done.
Filter by company and hit Generate All Emails. Zela researches and writes a personalised email for every contact at that company in one run, useful when you are targeting a brand across multiple stakeholders.
After sending, mark a contact for follow-up and set a due date. Zela tracks who is overdue, pending or done across your whole list so nothing falls through the cracks.
Paste a LinkedIn URL into a contact profile and Zela looks up their current role, title and company. If their job has changed since you last spoke, it flags it.
Before writing, Zela runs a live web search on the contact's company — recent campaigns, news, launches — and weaves a specific reference into the email. This is what makes emails feel genuinely personal rather than templated.
Every email Zela generates is logged with the contact name, company, tone and timestamp. Export the full log to a spreadsheet at any time.
The entire UI switches between English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Portuguese and Japanese. Click the flag in the top left of the filter panel.
The chat bubble in the bottom right opens Zela's BD assistant. Ask it for talk tracks, objection handling, how to position against a competitor, or what to say on a follow-up call. It knows your company context and the contact you are looking at.
Open any contact and hit Generate. Zela writes a ready-to-use meeting script tailored to that person — their company, role, and context — so you walk in prepared, not winging it.
Import contacts from a CSV, Word doc, vCard, or LinkedIn export. Zela parses messy formats, infers country flags from phone dialing codes, deduplicates against your existing list, and organises everything automatically.
Open Edit Contact on any contact and hit Delete. Useful for removing contacts who have retired, moved on, or are no longer relevant. The deletion persists across sessions.
Feeling hesitant before a big send? Hit Glaze Me and Zela writes a few sentences of funny, genuine encouragement referencing the contact you are emailing. Small thing, but it works.
After an email is generated, Zela writes a short one-liner wishing you luck, name-drops the contact's company, keeps it warm and funny. Makes hitting send feel less like work.
Your license key is personal. Do not share the Zela file or your key with anyone outside your team. Each key is tied to a single user and monitored for multiple simultaneous logins.
Email keir@playe.pro and we will get back to you.
Writing Style
Customise how emails are written. Changes apply immediately to new emails.
Your Company
Signature
Style Guide Override
Leave blank to use the default writing style. Add instructions here to override or extend it.
Your Writing Samples
Paste 5–10 real emails you've written yourself — not AI-generated. The AI will study your natural voice, sentence rhythm and vocabulary and match it every time it writes for you.
💡 Tip — the best samples are emails you actually sent and felt good about. Avoid anything too long or over-written. 2 to 3 short, natural emails give the AI enough to match your voice, and have the biggest impact on how it sounds. Two good examples beat five average ones. Pick emails where you felt the tone was exactly right.
🎙 Meeting Talk Track Style
Customise how the meeting talk track is written. It fires automatically after every Generate. Leave blank to use the default style.
Default style: 6 conversational sentences, spoken naturally aloud. Opens with "Hi [name], great to meet you". References their career history, a specific recent company initiative, asks how much creative work is in-house vs outsourced, explains how you can help with full campaigns or flex talent, closes warmly.
Research Style
Control what gets included when researching a contact. Applies to new research sessions.
Import Contacts
Add your own contacts. They appear in the main list alongside existing contacts and support all the same features.
Tip: Supports CSV, TSV, vCard (.vcf), and exports from HubSpot, Salesforce, Apple Contacts, and Google Contacts. Column names are matched automatically — "First Name" + "Last Name" columns are combined.
Tip: Works with tables, bulleted lists, or free-form contact blocks. Claude reads the document and structures the data automatically.
